Orchestra Academy of the Munich Philharmonic

This is where young, talented musicians get an opportunity to add depth to their training in actual practice and prepare themselves for launching their professional careers.

Scholarship
Young, outstanding musicians, selected by audition, receive a two-year scholarship, which, in addition to financial support, also contains instruction with members of the Munich Philharmonic and a number of concert assignments.

The participation by members of the Academy in the rehearsals and concerts of the Munich Philharmonic provides them with valuable practical experience and teaches them to blend into a large-scale ensemble in an orchestral situation. The Orchestra Academy’s chamber music concerts provide a further platform for them to present themselves to the public.
