Chamber concerts of the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra in the Festival Hall of the Münchner Künstlerhaus

The concerts of the of the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra's chamber music series take place on Sundays in the Festival Hall of the Künstlerhaus, famous for its special atmosphere and excellent acoustics. Musicians of the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra appear in various combinations with programs of all epochs.

The chamber concerts of the Munich Philharmonic in the 2018/2019 season will, of course, also be dedicated to the orchestra’s 125th anniversary. On this occasion, all programs of our chamber concert series establish a bridge between tradition and future, between familiar repertoire and new compositions. To this end, the Munich Philharmonic cooperates with the composition course at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater München. Professors Moritz Eggert, Jan Müller-Wieland and Isabel Mundry have selected students from their composition classes to write short pieces for the orchestra’s anniversary. We thank the Hochschule für Musik und Theater München for this »birthday present« look forward to the young composers’ works.
