Blasmusik 360° - Tailcoat meets traditional costume

Our joint special concert celebrates two birthdays: 125 years of the Munich Philharmonic and 65 years of the Musikbund von Ober- und Niederbayern e. V. (MON), which is a partner of the »Spielfeld Klassik« education programme. With around 50,000 members, the MON maintains and promotes the tradition of brass music as well as active music making in society and supports young musicians. Members of the Munich Philharmonic support this venture with mentoring, rehearsals and concerts. In addition to the rehearsals, two members of the Munich Philharmonic – Albert Osterhammer and Raffaele Giannotti – will also assume the roles of conductor and soloist. The participating musicians of the MON will be specially selected for this concert and will work side-by-side with the professionals in the »Project Orchestra«.
