Studied music at the State Music Academy in Detmold with Marcio Carneiro and André Navarra graduating with a degree in music education in secondary schools. Concert activity as soloist and in chamber music ensembles. Faculty position at the University of Paderborn.

1991-1993
Studied culture management graduating from the Academy of Music and Theatre in Hamburg. Thesis and research on commission from the Brandenburg Federal State Ministry of Science, Research and Culture on the legal and economic aspects of the transfer of orchestras from the public sector to private corporate ownership.

1994
Assistant to Ernest Fleischmann, Managing Director and Executive Vice President of the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra.

1993-1995
Artistic Director of the Philharmonic Orchestra of Frankfurt on the Oder after the orchestra was renamed a State Orchestra.

1995-1996
General Manager of the State Orchestra in Frankfurt on the Oder. His duties involved the full charge of the orchestra in collaboration with the General Music Director.

1995-1996
Taught Culture Management at the Europa University Viadrina in Frankfurt on the Oder.

1997-2002
Manager of the NDR Symphony Orchestra in Hamburg.
