Veit Wenk-Wolff was born in 1963 in Heidelberg and grew up in Norway. He received his first cello instruction at the age of 6, later studying with Aage Kvalbein (Oslo), Peter Grümmer (Zurich) and at the Arts Academy in Berlin with Eberhard Finke. He has appeared as soloist with several symphony orchestras, among other cities in Trondheim, Oslo, Tokyo and Munich. He was also engaged as principal cellist with the Philharmonic Orchestra in Bergen. Since 1987, Veit Wenk-Wolff has been a member of the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra.
