Lisa Outred was born in 1969 in Perth, Australia. At the early age of 12 she received a scholarship from Perth Modern High School. She concluded her studies with Joel Marangella and Anne Gilby at the University of West Australia with honors. She then did additional work with Ingo Gorlitzki in Stuttgart. Lisa Outred was an oboist in the Bruckner Quartet in Linz, Austria, the Stuttgart Chamber Orchestra as well as the Essen Philharmonic between 1998 and 2002. Since the autumn of 2002 she has served as second oboist and English horn player with the Munich Philharmonic. Concert tours have taken her regularly to Australia, several European countries as well as to Israel.
