As the orchestra of the City of Munich, we enrich the cultural life of the Bavarian capital with a diverse program for young and old, and we are also at home in the world's great concert halls. Lahav Shani will become principal conductor of the Munich Philharmonic as of the 2026/27 concert season. In summer 2024, Shani will conduct the Munich Philharmonic at »Klassik am Odeonsplatz«.

With its orchestra academy, the Münchner Philharmoniker have been dedicated to helping young musicians embark on a life in the profession since 1997. They are supported by the Friends and Patrons of the Munich Philharmonic.
The Philharmonische Chor München is one of Germany’s premier concert choirs and partner choir of the Münchner Philharmoniker.
