Zubin Mehta

  • Brahms: Symphonies 1-4

    In January 2024, the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by its honorary conductor Zubin Mehta, performed all of Johannes Brahms's major symphonic works. Following the piano concertos, the four symphonies have now also been released on the »MPHIL« label. 

  • Brahms: Piano Concertos No. 1&2

    It was the celebrated highlight of the past concert season: in January 2024, the Brahms cycle with Zubin Mehta was performed and recorded at the Isarphilharmonie. The piano concertos with Yefim Bronfman are released: digitally, on CD and – for the first time for the label »MPHIL« – also on vinyl.

    The orchestra performed the premiere of this piece in 1911. That recording was made on the day of the 100th anniversary of the premiere.
