You play a string instrument and have always dreamed of playing with professional musicians? Here’s your chance to do just that, with a string quartet from the Munich Philharmonic. Further down the page, you will see five videos. The first one is a recording of the first movement of Mozart’s Divertimento in D major for string quartet. The musicians are Odette Couch (1st violin, deputy concert master), Clément Courtin (2nd violin), Wolfgang Berg (viola) and Sissy Schmidhuber (cello) of the Munich Philharmonic. In each of the four other videos, we have omitted one voice, so that you can play along to the recording on your instrument. You’ll also find links on this page to download the sheet music for each of the voices as a PDF file. These even contain the bowings and fingerings that our musicians use.
Tip: If the piece is too fast for you, you can click on the Settings icon (the little gearwheel) in the video and slow down the playback speed.
We’d love you to record a video or audio as you play along with the Munich Philharmonic and send it to us at spielfeldklassik(at)muenchen.de or post it on our Facebook or Instagram page under the hashtag #mphilminus1
