Lateinamerikanische Beats und orchestrale Power: Dieses Konzert bringt Bewegung in den Saal! Der mexikanische Komponist Arturo Márquez, der längst auch jenseits der Klassikszene Kultstatus genießt, entfacht in »Conga del Fuego Nuevo« ein rhythmisches Feuerwerk. Im Zentrum des Abends steht Alberto Ginasteras Harfenkonzert, gespielt von der Solo-Harfenistin der Münchner Philharmoniker Teresa Zimmermann. Inspiriert von argentinischer Folklore und einer modernen Klangsprache, befreit Ginastera die Harfe von althergebrachten Klischees. Den Abschluss bilden Sergej Rachmaninows »Symphonische Tänze«. In seiner letzten vollendeten Komposition zieht Rachmaninow voller rhythmischer Energie eine musikalische Lebensbilanz. Mitglieder des ODEON-Jugendsinfonieorchesters und der Münchner Philharmoniker spielen Schulter an Schulter dieses mitreißende Programm und feiern damit den 20. Geburtstag des ODEON.
