The Isarphilharmonie is located on the Gasteig HP8 site, which was named after its address, Hans-Preißinger-Straße 8, 81379 Munich. As parking spaces are limited, we advise you to use public transport whenever possible. The free use of the MVV public transport lines on the day of the performance is included in the ticket price.
The foyer of the Isarphilharmonie is located in the striking »Halle E«. You can access the building via two entrances: the main entrance on the corner of Schäftlarnstraße and Brudermühlstraße, which you reach coming from Brudermühlstraße; and the side entrance on Hans-Preißinger-Straße, just a few steps past the bicycle parking spaces and then turning right around the corner of »Halle E«.
You can reach the first rows of the stalls via the ground floor of »Halle E« and the upper rows via the mezzanine. Access to the dress circle (»Balkon«) and gallery (»Rang«) is via the mezzanine and the first floor of »Halle E«. »Halle E« also has a lift to the mezzanine and first floor, providing wheelchair access to the dress circle. There is no lift to the balcony, which can only be reached via the staircases.
The box office opens one hour before the beginning of each concert in »Halle E«. During the day, our subscription office in »Halle E« is there for you, as well as a München Ticket advance booking office. The München Ticket counter is open from Monday to Friday from 4 to 8:30 p.m., Saturday and Sunday from 3 to 8:30 p.m.

The circle and balcony areas are fitted with railings with steel mesh panels. These allow a clear view of the stage, are acoustically optimised and are fitted for your safety.
Full disabled access: rows 1–9 in the stalls, and row 4, circle right and left
Limited disabled access (hall access at ground level with lift plus a few steps): stalls from row 10 and all other circle seating. The lift does not go to the balcony.
The intermission catering is located in »Halle E«, the »GAiA Bar« opens two hours before the event. Tip: If you place your order for the intermission at the bar before the concert begins, a nicely laid bar table will be waiting for you right on time for the intermission - no waiting in line. Also on the ground of the »HP8« is the »GAiA Restaurant« with mediterranean cuisine.
There are toilets on all floors in »Halle E«, cloakrooms and lockers on the ground floor and mezzanine. The cloakrooms are assigned to areas of the auditorium so that visitors are distributed as evenly as possible among the cloakrooms to avoid congestion when handing in or collecting coats. The cloakrooms on the ground floor is for the stalls and the gallery, the cloakrooms on the mezzanine serve the dress circle. Open during events at the Isarphilharmonie, fee € 2,90.
You lost something during your concert visit? The best thing to do is to write a message to kommunikation(at)gasteig.de. The Gasteig service will contact the right place and let you know how and where the pick-up can best take place.
There are 200 bicycle parking spaces available in front of Hall E and behind Hall X, which are accessible via a ramp. Helmets and bicycle bags can be left at the cloakroom.
Our service: Travel to the concert by public transport. Your ticket is also valid as a travel ticket for public transport in zones M to 6 of the Munich Transport and Tariff Association (MVV). Valid for a return journey on the day of the event. The outward journey must be made no earlier than 3 pm; if the performance starts before 6 pm, no earlier than three hours beforehand; the return journey must be completed by the end of service.
There are 200 parking spaces available at the Blumengroßmarkt (Schäftlarnstraße 2, from 5 PM to midnight). Price: € 10. Disabled parking is available only at Blumengroßmarkt and directly on the Gasteig HP8 grounds. Before and after concerts, there is a free shuttle bus service (without wheelchair access) to the Blumengroßmarkt car park.
Disabled parking spaces
There are 14 disabled parking spaces available on the »Gasteig HP8« site. These are clearly marked and signposted. If you display your valid parking permit clearly on your windscreen, you may park there for the duration of the event.
The snack bar is open during intermission as well as before the event. The Italian restaurant L’Osteria is also located on the ground floor of the west wing of the Munich Künstlerhaus. Pizza and pasta are served here daily from noon until late in the evening—whether inside the beautiful Venetian salon or outside on the Mediterranean terrace.

Our service: Take public transportation to the concert. Your admission ticket also serves as a transit pass for public transportation in Zones M through 6 of the Munich Transport and Fare Association (MVV). Valid for round-trip travel on the day of the event. The outbound trip must begin no earlier than 3:00 p.m.; if the performance begins before 6:00 p.m., the outbound trip must begin no earlier than three hours beforehand; the return trip must be completed by the end of service.
The box office opens at 10:00 a.m., and admission to the concert hall begins at 10:30 a.m. Please note that seating is unassigned for the Munich Philharmonic’s chamber concerts.
There are 10 seats available at the Künstlerhaus for people in wheelchairs. The ballroom at the Munich Künstlerhaus is accessible via an elevator (please allow a little extra time to use the elevator due to its small size).
