Further down the page, you will see six videos. The first is a recording of Dieter Wendel’s »Suite«. The musicians are Florian Klingler and Markus Rainer (trumpet), Dany Bonvin, Matthias Fischer and Benjamin Appel (trombone), and Ricardo Carvalhoso (tuba) from the Munich Philharmonic. In each of the five other videos, we have omitted one voice, so that you can play along to the recording on your instrument.
We would like to thank the Verband Evangelischer Posaunenchöre in Bayern and especially the head of the regional trombone section, Dieter Wendel, for providing the sheet music. If you would like to purchase the score of the piece, you will be able to do so shortly on the association’s website.
You can find links on this page to download the sheet music for each of the voices as a PDF file. The trumpet parts are available in actual pitch (the files with »in C« in the name) and transposed in Bb (the »in Bb« files). Make sure that you download the right version for you, depending whether you read actual pitch or transposed. You can play the third part with horn, trombone or trumpet – just choose the part that best suits you. If you play tenor horn in a brass band, you can also download the fourth part in treble clef. The tuba parts are also available as sounding and an octave higher.
Tip: If the piece is too fast for you, you can click on the Settings icon (the little gearwheel) in the video and slow down the playback speed.
