Join in and become a part of Munich’s third Symphonic Mob – undoubtedly the city’s largest pop-up orchestra and choir!

You enjoy listening to and making music? You’ve always wanted to perform in a symphony orchestra with professional musicians? Then what are you waiting for? Come along and join in the Symphonic Mob in Hall E of the Gasteig HP8.

Experience what it feels like to be one of many passionate musicians on stage together creating wonderful music. Initiated by the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin, the Symphonic Mob is this year taking place in Munich for the third time.

When? Sunday, 16 June 2024
Rehearsal: 3 PM; performance: 5 PM

Where? Gasteig HP 8, Hall E

Who? Members of the Munich Philharmonic orchestra and choir, the conductor Felix Mayer, the presenter Anna Veit, many music enthusiasts from in and around Munich … and you!

Everyone is welcome, from beginner to experienced amateur musician. All you need is enthusiasm, a love of playing and, of course, your instrument. Whether clarinet, guitar, cello, saxophone, flute or cajon, all instruments that don’t need amplification are welcome.

What are we playing?

  • Giuseppe Verdi Dies irae from Messa da Requiem
  • Edward Elgar Nimrod from the Enigma Variations
  • Sergei Prokofiev Dance of the Knights from Romeo and Juliet
  • George Frideric Handel Hallelujah from Messiah
