You don’t have to travel all the way to Paris, Tokyo or New York to experience a guest performance by the Munich Philharmonic. Several times each season, our musicians set out to give concerts at unusual venues in Munich.
At MPhil Tea Time, the Munich Philharmonic performs chamber music at two concerts in the saloon of the former excursion steamship Alte Utting. Even in its still active days on the Ammersee, the ship was never a stranger to parties, with its deck even hosting the occasional band. And we are continuing this tradition into the ship’s retirement. You can even enjoy your music with crêpes or one of the African or regional dishes on the ship’s menu. MPhil Tea Time takes place at 3 PM and 5 PM.
The »Wandelkonzerte« promenade concerts are a unique opportunity to explore Munich’s diverse districts with the Munich Philharmonic. Experience concerts at unlikely locations such as a flower shop, a hairdresser or a café. There are three different tours, each of which includes three concerts in three different locations. The venues of each tour are spaced within easy walking distance of no more than 15 minutes.
