Benjamin Bruns began his singing career as an alto soloist in the boys' choir of his hometown of Hanover. After four years of private vocal training with Prof. Peter Sefcik, he studied at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hamburg with Kammersängerin Renate Behle.Benjamin Bruns began his singing career as an alto soloist in the boys' choir of his hometown of Hanover. At the beginning of the 2022/2023 season, Benjamin Bruns will make a guest appearance at the Hamburg State Opera as Erik in Wagner's Der fliegende Holländer. In Munich he will be heard as Guido Bardi in Zemlinsky's Eine florentinische Tragödie together with the BR Radio Orchestra, and at the Zurich Opera House he will appear as Max in Freischütz, as well as in a concert performance of the 1st act of Die Walküre in Wuppertal. The current concert season also holds interesting projects: in Basel Hans Huber's Weissagung und Erfüllung, in Wuppertal and Munich Lloyd Webber's Requiem, in Tokyo Beethoven's 9th Symphony, as well as in Paris, London and Hamburg, in Utrecht van Gilse's Kreis des Lebens, in Leipzig Mahler's 8th Symphony and in Bilbao Mozart's Requiem. In a tour of the Netherlands, he performs Bach's St. Matthew Passion in concerts in Eindhoven, Groningen, Rotterdam, Utrecht and Naarden, among others.
