Born in 1977 in Passau, the musician began his trumpet lessons at the age of nine. After taking several prizes at the German Federal "Jugend musiziert" competition as well as Federal State Prizes at the Competition of the Music Society of the Upper and Lower Rhine, Bernhard Peschl was accepted into the Bavarian State Youth Orchestra. After graduating from secondary school he played in the Army Band stationed in Regensburg before beginning his studies with Hannes Läubin at the Academy of Music and Theatre in Munich in 1997. In 1999, Bernhard Peschl was hired as a substitute at the Hamburg State Opera, and he continued in this activity at the Bavarian State Opera while being engaged that same year as a trumpeter in the Münchner Rundfunkorchester. In 2005, Bernhard Peschl continued on to a post as deputy principal trumpeter in the Munich Philharmonic. Since 2012 he is a member of "Blechschaden".
