Born in Rome in 1999, Bianca Maria Fiorito received her first degree aged 15 at the Conservatorio Santa Cecilia. She completed her bachelor’s degree with distinction with Prof. Mario Caroli at the »Académie Supérieure de Musique« in Strasbourg, France. Since September 2019, she has been studying for a Master of Arts in Music Performance at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg with Prof. Michael Martin Kofler, the Munich Philharmonic’s solo flutist.
She has won prizes at various national and international competitions, including the 3rd International Severino Gazzelloni Flute Competition, the 8th AudiMozart! International Competition, category Flute, and the 31st International Emanuele Krakamp Flute Competition. She also received the »Windtex Excellence Award«, which the Gaspari Foundation in Verona presents to a promising young Italian musician each year.
As a soloist, she has performed with the Zurich chamber orchestra »i baroccoli«, the Orchestra Haydn of Bolzano and Trento, the Orchestra I Musici di Parma, the Rotary Chamber Orchestra, the Orchestre Symphonique de Haguenau and the Orchestra da Camera of Verona. Fiorito also plays contemporary music, often performing world premieres and works written specifically for her. In 2021, she became an academist with the Munich Philharmonic and shortly afterwards won the position of second flutist and piccoloist.
