Talise Trevigne

American soprano Talise Trevigne recently brought the role of Violetta La Traviata back into her repertoire after a long absence with highly-lauded performances at Calgary Opera; she sang Mimi La Boheme at Cincinnati opera alongside performances of the title role in Gregory Spears’s new work Castor and Patience (voted by the New York Times Best Opera of 2022). She joined Nathalie Stutzmann in her inaugural performances as Music Director at Atlanta Symphony Orchestra to sing Ah! Perfido and Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony. Future engagements include a European tour with Munich Philharmonic in repertoire featuring Mahler’s Second Symphony with Mirga Gražinytė-Tyla and further performances of Violetta in Canada.

Recent season highlights include the role of Sunny desert in for Boston Lyric Opera in their episodic opera drama devised for the small screen, curated and directed by James Darrah; her celebrated Nedda I Paglicci at The Atlanta Opera and Madison Opera; her debut in the role of Ma in Missy Mazzoli/Royce Vavrek’s highly lauded Proving Up at Omaha Opera and at Lincoln Centre. At Theater Basel she appeared in the title role Madama Butterfly, and she made her Lyric Opera of Chicago debut as Kitty Hart Dead Man Walking.
