Traudel Reich

Traudel Reich was born in Calw and took her first violin lessons at the age of six with Gerd-Uwe Klein at the music school in her home town. In 1998 she moved on to Ulrike Abdank's violin class at the Stuttgart Music Academy. She became a member of the Young Chamber Orchestra of Stuttgart, advancing to the position of concert master in 1999. Besides this Traudel Reich was a member of the class for especially gifted preparatory students at the Stuttgart Music School.

She made solo appearances with the Young Chamber Orchestra of Stuttgart and the Young Symphony Orchestra of Stuttgart, the Stuttgart Philharmonic, the West German Chamber Orchestra in Pforzheim and the Nuremberg Symphony.

Traudel Reich attended master classes with Yair Kless, Nachum Erlich, Roman Nodel, Kolja Lessing, Latica Honda-Rosenberg and Walter Forchert. She began her college-level studies initially with Stephan Picard at the Hanns Eisler Music Academy in Berlin and transferred in October of 2003 to Roman Nodel at the Music Academy of Mannheim, where she completed her training in 2009. During the 2006/07 season she was an intern with the Radio Symphony Orchestra of the SWR in Stuttgart. Before moving on to the Munich Philharmonic in 2010, Traudel Reich was a member of the German State Philharmonic of the Rhineland Palatinate.
