Vladimir Tolpygo

Vladimir Tolpygo was born in Moscow in 1988. Having received his first violin tuition aged four from Prof. Sergei Fatkulin, he emigrated to Portugal a year later, where his parents continued to teach him the violin.

Vladimir Tolpygo attended the ARTAVE Music High School in Caldas da Saúde from 2001 to 2007 in the violin class of Sergey Arutyunyan and studied at the Mannheim State University of Music and Performing Arts from 2007 to 2012 with Prof. Roman Nodel. In March 2016, after four years of postgraduate studies, he passed his concert exam at the Hochschule für Musik Karlsruhe with Prof. Laurent Albrecht Breuninger.

Vladimir Tolpygo is a laureate of various national and international competitions.

From 2012 to 2013 Vladimir Tolpygo was a volunteer of the SWR Radio Symphony Orchestra Stuttgart and from 2013 to 2016 a member of the Munich Radio Orchestra. Since September 2016 he is a member of the 1st violins of the Munich Philharmonic.
