For the seventh time this season, the Munich Philharmonic and the Institute of Musicology at Munich’s Ludwig Maximilian University (LMU) are together holding a workshop on programme booklets design. In this project, musicology students at the LMU create a programme booklet for a concert of the Munich Philharmonic. Spielfeld Klassik and the programme editors of the Munich Philharmonic provide close support in the entire development process, from the concept to the finished texts. This gives students the opportunity to present their own ideas and texts on a public platform under professional guidance and to gain valuable experience towards their professional qualifications. The participating students also attend a rehearsal and get to meet and talk to members of the orchestra’s management, providing them with an exclusive insight into the workings of the Munich Philharmonic.
