Take Part

If there is one thing that connects people more than listening to music together, it is actually making music together. In percussion workshops, children get to play an instrument themselves; the annual »Der Gasteig brummt« festival promises two days of hands-on music workshops throughout the Gasteig HP8; and once a year, Munich’s largest pop-up orchestra, the Symphonic Mob, invites you to play or sing alongside the Munich Philharmonic together with many other music enthusiasts.

  • Members of the Munich Philharmonic present their instruments and answer questions from children and their families.

  • A two-day musical voyage of discovery at HP8 that provides young and old alike with a chance to listen, try, dance, sing and play along.

  • Be a part of Munich’s largest orchestra: It forms once every season with amateurs and professional musicians from the Munich Philharmonic.
