Florentine Lenz

Florentine Lenz received her first violin tuition at the age of four from Tor Song Tan at the Westfälische Schule für Musik Münster. Aged eleven she became a pupil of Martin Dehning who, a year later, accepted her as junior student into his class at the Musikhochschule Münster. After graduating from there in 2006, she started her studies with Sophia Jaffé at the Hanns Eisler School of Music Berlin, gaining further input in master classes with Ana Chumachenco, Stephan Picard and Elisabeth Weber.

As soloist and chamber musician, Florentine Lenz has won prizes in several national and international competitions. She also received a scholarship from Yehudi Menuhin’s Live Music Now. After graduating in 2011, she was an academy player for Konzerthausorchester Berlin and a regular guest with the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen and the Münchener Kammerorchester.

In December 2012 she became an academy player for the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra, of which she has been a fixed member since January 2014.
